Curation | Exhibition Design
Through scholarship by the Bob Graham Center, Anani Blakey curated her first art exhibition, Veiled: Hooded & Hidden at the Gainesville Fine Arts Association. Veiled: Hooded & Hidden shed light on the erasure of Black history in higher public education and highlighted the need to reclaim and restore the forgotten narratives.

The exhibition debuted in 2024 from January 17th to January 20th. Afro and Black creators came together in one space, inspired emotional reflection, and sparked conversations about preserving history and honoring futures in Alachua County.
